Hiren's BootCD PE provides a way for you to find out what is wrong with your PC from a safe environment. In other words, you can focus on the problems of your system and try to find solutions as quickly as possible. The major advantage of a recovery boot CD is that it comes with various preinstalled applications, so you can forget about downloading and installing tools.

The Hiren's BootCD PE then loads a safe Windows 10 desktop, where you can start to diagnose your system and address problems related to connectivity, driver failure, and so on. You will have to wait for the preinstallation environment to load. Once the bootable drive is created, you can restart your PC and choose to boot from the USB. Evidently, you can use any other tool to create your bootable drive, the choice is yours. Wanting to ease your work, the developers of Hiren's BootCD PE created a small tool that helps you quickly create to bootable USB drive, suggestively called ISO2USB (available in the “Downloads” section on this page).

To do so, a dedicated tool is required, which allows you to copy the ISO contents to the USB device. While USB booting is recommended for Windows PE, you can also create a bootable DVD for Hiren’s BootCD PE. Use an ISO burner to create your bootable USB Hiren’s BootCD PE is one such utility, available to you as an ISO image that can be used to create a bootable USB drive, for instance, and use the emergency boot disk to solve various issues and get back access to Windows. It should work now as a bootable USB drive aswel as a tool you can use inside a MS Windows environment.Like any other software program, Windows is not flawless, and it might sometimes happen that the operating system fails to boot or that various malfunctions occur. Now open the folder called HBCD and copy the files 'grldr' and 'menu.lst' to the root of the drive.
There should be 1 folder called HBCD on the drive now, and 4 small other files. When it is done, delete the iso file and copy all the rest of the content to the root your USB drive. Right-click the file and choose 'extract here' Now place the Hirens Boot CD iso-file in a new folder.
Where 'device location' is the location of your USB drive you noted earlier. When it is done, close the partition manager and start a terminal. While you are at it, note the device's mount location (for example /dev/sdb) Format the drive to FAT32, primairy partition and give a nice label.
